The Searchers – Sweets for My Sweet
תמיד העדפתי דברים מתוקים על פני מלוחים. בכלל, מלח אינו התבלין האהוד עלי ואני ממעטת להשתמש בו.
I always preferred sweet things over salty ones. In general, salt is not my favourite spice and I use it very little.
"אבל את שמה מלח בסלט ובמרק", העירה הנסיכה.
"לא אמרתי שאיני משתמשת, אמרתי שאני ממעטת." ישנן כאלה שצריכות הסברים מפורשים וגם המחשה. "ראית אותי אי פעם אוכלת עוגיות מלוחות או בייגלה מלוחים?"
היא מנסה לחשוב ואני מניחה לה שתמצא את התשובה בעצמה, למרות שזו עומדת לי על קצה הלשון. "לא עוגיות מלוחות ולא בייגלה מלוחים", הקול שלה מהורהר, "אבל במבה כן."

"כח רצון!" היא משבחת.
"But you put salt in salad and soup," the princess commented.
"I didn't say I don't use, I said I do very little." There are those who need explicit explanations as well as illustration. "Have you ever seen me eat salty cookies or pretzels?"
She tries to think and I let her find the answer by herself, even though it's on the tip of my tongue. "No salty cookies and no salty pretzels," her voice ponders, "but Bamba yes."
"When was the last time you saw me eating Bamba?" I challenge her memory.
After she putting some efforts, she admits, "I don't remember, the be honest, but I remember that you snacked a lot from it."
"That was before they started salting it excessively," I reminded her, "and since I stopped – I didn't go back to it. When I stop something, then it stops and that's it."
"Will power!" She praises.
מעדן לבבות שוקולד Chocolate Hearts Delicacy
הוצאתי מהמקפיא קופסא של מעדן מצופה בשוקולד בצורת לבבות קטנים והנחתי על השולחן. ראיתי את עיניה נוצצות. "זה מה-זה ט-עים!" היא אמרה בקול מתרונן.
"מכירה את זה?" חייכתי למראה התלהבותה.
"מכירה מאוד!" הדגישה.
"בחיים לא טעמתי", הסברתי לה.
"את תאהבי את זה – זה ממש מתוק", אמרה ונטלה לב אחד מתוך הקופסא אותה הסטתי לעברה.
I took out of the freezer a box of chocolate-coated delicacy in the shape of little hearts and placed it on the table. I saw her eyes twinkle. "It's soooooo delicious!" She said in a rejoiced voice.
"Do you know that?" I smiled at the sight of her enthusiasm.
"I know Very well!" She stressed.
"I have never tasted it," I explained to her.
"You'll love it – it's really sweet," she said, taking one heart out of the box I had shifted towards her.

There were eight hearts in the box, and now it was left empty. She ate four and I four. Was very tasty.
