Shabbat morning, a tough day: father sheds lots of tears, mum is crying tears a lot, a lot of tears; and I will be told plenty of nonsense.
סגרתי הכל אתמול אחרי היומן והלכתי לישון. התעוררתי למציאות הכמעט יומיומית של המדינה שלי, אך בבירה של ארץ אחרת. המחשבה הראשונה שלי היתה דאגה לפצועים ששרדו ולבני משפחות החללים. מפה, מהמקום המוכר לנו כל כך במשך דורות, לדאבוננו, אני מבקשת לשלוח להם את תנחומי.
I closed everything yesterday, after watching the weekend report, and went to sleep. I woke up to the almost daily reality of my country, but in a capital of another state. My first thought was about the injured who survived the attack and concern for the family members of the murdered. From here, the unfortunate so familiar place we are going through over generations, I would like to send them my condolences.
בשעת צער והזדהות זו, אולי לא תקין להשוות, אך אין מתבקש מזה. העולם סרב להתיחס לטרור אצלנו לפני שנים רבות וקיבל את פיגועי ה-11 בספטמבר בניו יורק. למרות אימת הטרור שם, למרות שנראה היה שמנהיגי העולם יתאחדו ויפעלו בנחישות נגד הטרור, המשיך העולם להתנהל כמקודם. אל קעידא לא הושמד, אלא להפך – ארגוני טרור נוספים קמו והם מאיימים על שלום העולם.
In this hour of grief and empathy, perhaps it's not politically correct to compare, but one can't escape of doing it. Many years ago, the world refused to take actions against terrorism aimed towards us, Israelis, and got September Eleven Attacks in New York. Despite of the terror and fear there, despite of it seemed that the leaders of the world to unite and take firm steps against terror, the world continued to behave as before. Al-Qaeda was not destroyed, on the contrary – more terror organizations were established, and they are threatened the world's peace.

השתלטות הבוקו חראם על שטחים נרחבים באפריקה, התקפת הטרור בצרפת בתחילת השנה על מערכת השבועון שרלי הבדו ועל ההיפר הכשר היהודי, השתלטות האיסלם על אירופה ועוד ועוד – תקצר היריעה מלפרט פה את הכל – לא שינתה דבר. העולם ממשיך בשלו, העולם שותק. העולם עדיין מסרב להבין שטרור במקום מסוים ונגד מישהו מסוים אינו מסתיים באותו מישהו, אלא מתרחב הלאה.
Boko Haram gaining control over wide lands in Africa, the terror attack in France at the beginning of the year at the satirical weekly magazine Charlie Hebdo and the Hypercacher kosher superette, Islam overtaking Europe and more (there is much more, but I can't mention everything) – didn't change a thing. The world continues as usual, the world is silent. The world still refuses to understand that terror in a certain place and against a certain someone doesn't end with that certain someone, but spreads further on.
רק אתמול חוינו התקפת טרור נוספת של מוסלמים ארורים על אזרחים יהודים תמימים שנסעו לעשות את השבת. אף אחד בעולם לא טרח לגנות את זה. נו, אלה רק יהודים. גל טרור שוטף את ישראל כבר למעלה מחודש והעולם שותק. אף אחד אינו מגנה את הטרור נגדנו, כי זה נגד יהודים. אבל מה שהיה חשוב עד מאוד לאיחוד האירופי וכל כך בער לו – זה לסמן מוצרים שיוצרו בהתנחלויות. זה מתחיל עם סימון מוצרים ונגמר בעליהום עלינו כיהודים. אנחנו יודעים שמה שהתחיל בשריפת ספרים, הסתיים בשואה, ברצח העם היהודי. והעולם כמנהגו נוהג, העולם שותק.
אולי הפעם תהיה זו קריאת השכמה לעולם להבין שטרור הוא טרור הוא טרור ויש להכחידו בעודנו באיבו, כי זה אורב לפתחי הכל.
Only yesterday we experienced another terror attack in Israel by cursed Muslims against innocent Jewish citizens who drove to do the Shabbat. Nobody in the world bothered to condemn this. Nu, it's only Jews. A terror wave floods Israel for more than a month, and the world is silent. Nobody condemns the terror against us, because it's against Jews. But what was so much important to the European Union, and so urgent to deal with – is marking products made in the Israeli settlements beyond the Green Line. It starts with marking products and ends with attacking us as Jews. We all know that what started with burning books, ended with the Shoah (The Holocaust), the genocide against the Jewish people. And the world behaves as usual, the world is silent.
Perhaps this time will be a wakeup call for the world to understand that terror is terror is terror, and it must be destroyed when it's young, since it lies in waits on everybody's threshold and nobody can escape from its ambush.
