Their first instinct was to pack themselves and flee for their lives. An instinct of survival of diaspora Jews. Us, the Israelis who live in our country (even if it's torn and with our enemies surrounding us), our first instinct as a respond to a threat, is to recruit and fight back. That is the difference between people who feel entirely as citizens and between those who perhaps think they are citizens, but are always threatened. We, Israeli Jews, also are threatened by our enemies (may they rotten in hell), but we live in our real country, not in the diaspora.

Béatrice, who lives for a few months now in Israel and manages her career from remoteness, had quite a indecision if to continue living here, mainly in favour of our relations, or jumping from country to country and float inside a tin box in the sky every Sunday and Friday. And me… it's not easy for me to be tossed from my place. There are frantic people who can't sit in one place; not only it shorten their life, it also drives them crazy. I am satisfied with what is good for me – sitting in front of the computer, writing, working hard on my farms and enjoy my life.
How does one pack a whole life? What does one take? What should one leave behind? What to sell? The pressure is very intense. There's not much time to think, to organize, assemble, to release. Mainly to let go. There are many things you can't take, transfer to the new place, like home, where you lived most of your life. The walls, the ceilings, the floors, the furniture, belongings… Everything that meant home for you… Nothing can be substitute to what you loved, even if now you are in another place, theoretically safer, even if it’s a palace. At the moment it's a kind of shelter, not a home yet. Perhaps in due time.
