ההזמנה לתערוכת "אל האור" The invitation of "To the Light" exhibition
הבוקר נפתחה לקהל תערוכת "אל האור". ארוע חגיגי יערך ב-29.11.21, כ"ה כסלו ה'תשפ"ב, ובו נדליק נר שני של חנוכה.
This morning, the "To the Light" exhibition opened to the public. A festive event will be held on 29.11.21, 25 Kislev 5772, when we will light the second Hanukkah candle.
מאז מארס 2019, זו התערוכה האחת-עשרה בה אני לוקחת חלק כאמנית בצילום, בבית האמנים בחדרה. השתתפתי בתערוכות נוספות, ובסך הכל עד כה – 20 תערוכות, בהן אחת בדַבְּלִין (במארס 2013), עם טקסטים שלי (אוצרת: מורן בן נון). עד מארס 2019, לא חשבתי שאפשר להציג צילומים בתערוכות, אין לי מושג למה. אולי משום שרוב חיי עסקתי במלים, בטקסטים ובכתיבה ולמרות שבה בעת גם צילמתי – לא יצא לי לחשוב על להציג את צילומַי. אבל איך אומר הפתגם: "מוטב מאוחר מאשר אף פעם". עוד ידי נטויה!
This is the eleventh exhibition, since March 2019, in which I take part as an artist in photography, at the Artists' House in Hadera. I have participated in other exhibitions, and in total so far – 20 exhibitions, including one in Dublin (March 2013), with my texts (Curator: Moran Been-Noon). Until March 2019, I did not think it was possible to display photographs in exhibitions, I have no idea why. Maybe because most of my life I was involved with words, texts and writing, and even though I took photos at the same time – I did not think about presenting my photographs. But as the saying goes: "Better late than never". And I'm counting on it to go on!

בתערוכה זו, אני מציגה ארבעה צילומים: ירח זורח, אורות הדרך, עץ חג המולד ועגורנים.
In this exhibition, I exhibit four photographs: Shining Moon, Road Lights, Christmas Tree, and Cranes.
ירח זורח Shining Moon
"ירח זורח" צולם בחודש שעבר בנסיבות שמחות במיוחד, בחגיגת יום ההולדת של נכדי, אז זרח ירח מלא. אני, שנוהגת להרים את ראשי לשמיים מדי פעם, הבחנתי בירח הזורח במלוא הדרו. כמובן שמיהרתי לצלם את המראה המרהיב. צילמתי כמה צילומים מזויות שונות. בהצעה לתערוכה, חשבתי על הצגת הסדרה כולה בגדלים קטנים (40X45 ס"מ), אך האוצרת העדיפה תמונה אחת גדולה (50X70 ס"מ). למעלה, זו מה שהיא בחרה.
"Shining Moon" was taken last month in very happy circumstances, at my grandson's birthday celebration, when a full moon shone. I, who use to raise my head to the sky from time to time, noticed the shining moon with all its glory. Obviously, I hurried to photograph the spectacular sight. I took a few photos from different angles. In my proposing for the exhibition, I thought of presenting the entire series in small sizes (40X45 cm), but the curator preferred one large image (50X70 cm). Above, is what she chose.
אורות הדרך The Road Lights
"אורות הדרך" צולמה בספטמבר השנה, בדרך חזרה מהאזכרה לחללי חטיבת גולני. גם פה צילמתי כמה תמונות, חלק מהן מטושטשות בכוונה כדי להמחיש את הנסיעה באוטובוס, אך האוצרת העדיפה את התמונה הכי ברורה. אני העדפתי את אחת התמונות האחרות.
The "Road Lights" was photographed in September this year, on the way back from the memorial service for the fallen of the Golani Brigade. Here, too, I took a few photos, some of them intentionally blurry to illustrate the bus ride, but the curator preferred the clearest picture. I preferred one of the other photos.
עץ חג המולד Christmas Tree
"עץ חג המולד" צולם ב-24 בדצמבר 2014 בעיר התחתית בחיפה, היכן שזה הוצב כבכל שנה. בתמונה נראות היטב הישויות שחגו סביב וכנראה גם חגגו איתנו. יש הרואות/ים בהן טיפות של גשם, אך זה לא ירד אז כלל ומזג האויר היה נעים, אפילו לא קריר. בדרך כלל, איני מספרת את זה ומניחה למביטים בצילום לחשוב שזה גשם. לא עם כולם אפשר לחלוק את הענין של הישויות. יש לי צילומים נוספים בנסיבות שונות ומגוונות שבהם הן נראות בְּבֵרוּר. אם אין יורד גשם ועדשת המצלמה נקיה מאבק, שלא לדבר על כך שצילומים לפני ואחרי הצילומים המסוימים עם הישויות נראים "נקיים", מה אפשר לחשוב?
"Christmas Tree" was taken on 24 December 2014 in downtown Haifa, where it was placed as in every year. The photo clearly shows the entities that flew around and probably celebrated with as well. Some see them as drops of rain, but it did not rain then at all, and the weather was pleasant, not even chilly. Usually, I don't tell it, and let the viewers at the photograph think it is rain. Not with everyone the issue of entities can be shared. I have additional photos in different and varied circumstances where they are clearly seen. If it's not raining and the camera lens is dust free, not to mention that the photos before and after the certain shots with the entities look "clean", what can one think?
עגורנים Cranes
את ה"עגורנים" צילמתי לפני כחודשיים, בזמן טיול בערב, קצת אחרי השקיעה. אני אוהבת לצלם את התהליכים וההתקדמות באתרי בניה, כמו גם את העגורנים ושאר הכלים הכבדים. מבחינתי, זה סמל לצמיחה ומרתק אותי מאוד ללוות אותה בצילומַי. אני שמחה שהאוצרת מצאה לנכון להציג את התמונה הזו.
I photographed the "cranes" about two months ago, during an evening stroll, shortly after sunset. I like to photograph the processes and progress at building sites, as well as the cranes and other heavy machines. For me, it is a symbol of growth, and it fascinates me very much escorting it with my photography. I'm glad the curator found it appropriate to display this photo.

כל תערוכה חדשה בה אני משתתפת, מרגשת אותי מאוד. כיף לי להציג את הצילומים והפוטומונטאז'ים שלי ולראות איך אלה מתקבלים אצל קהל המבקרות/ים בגלריה.
TL;DR
Every new exhibition I participate in excites me greatly. It's fun to display my photographs and photomontages, and see how these are received by the visitors at the gallery.
